TeachersRecess.com is developed and owned by Teachers Recess, Inc.  The company was founded with the common interest of bringing together education professionals in an online setting.  TeachersRecess intends to assist teachers in making the classroom a better place for everyone, because education truly is the key to life.  The TeachersRecess teacher social network has been built with teachers and other education professionals in mind, aiming to be the go-to online teacher resource for all teachers of all levels and backgrounds.

The main feature to TeachersRecess is the teacher social network that is exclusively for teachers.  The teachers social network allows teachers to build their network within the education community while making new friends and rekindling old relationships.

In addition to networking, TeachersRecess will give teachers the ability to buy and sell teaching supplies and other products through the highly-developed program, the TeachersRecess "Teacher Xchange".  In a few simple steps users will be able to post items with descriptions, pictures and price and have the option to take payment online securely using PayPal.   


Another unique teacher resource on TeachersRecess that we feel will be useful for all members of the community is the File Cabinet. Upon request and compliance with all copyright regulations, members will be given the option to upload and share lesson plans and teacher worksheets (Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, PDF's and other types of files).  This will help teachers to exchange ideas on any given topic, helping them create the best possible lesson plans for their students.

Another user friendly feature, the TeachersRecess Bulletin Board, presents the perfect opportunity for teachers to communicate with their peers.  In addition to having the ability to communicate and share information, the Bulletin Board can also be used for posting events, job listings, and any questions or comments members might have.
